Now, he’s the founder of ThereGoesMyHero.org, a non-profit that provides support to those diagnosed with Leukemia and encourages others to join the donor registry. Unfortunately, when Erik was diagnosed in 2007, medical marijuana and CBD oil did not have the support it has today in alleviating the side effects from chemotherapy. Is CBD oil an effective treatment for PTSD? To learn more, we interviewed Cherissa Jackson, the Chief Medical Executive for AMVETS and host of the AMVETS web series titled, “Who’s at the Table”. As a retired U.S. Air Force nurse who survived 4 deployments, she suffered sleepless nights caused by the flashbacks of war. She tried Ambien, Benadryl, Nyquil, any over the counter medications and nothing worked for her. Then, a fellow veteran suggested CBD oil. Listen to her story and how she uses her current role to educate Veterans on the many benefits of CBD oil. We continue the conversation with our very own U.S. Air Force veteran, Dr. Ben Gonzalez.
